Get inspired with my resilience

Sustainable habits turn into sustainable results.

My approach toward nutrition is both holistic and person-centred. In the modern world, conflicting nutritional advice is abundant. I like to keep things simple. Everyone is different and therefore has varying nutrient requirements/preferences. I believe in giving people the tools to succeed through education. People should be able to make informed decisions about their nutrition and health while enjoying food.

I studied Nutritional Sciences at the University of Manitoba for two years through the dietetics program. In addition to studying nutrition, I have my personal training certification through the International Sports Sciences Association and my Corrective Exercise certification (ISSA). I have also worked with several experienced coaches in the sports of Olympic lifting and callisthenics.

MY VALUES AS PERSONAL TRAINER

I believe upholding values/morals as a fitness professional is incredibly important. People are entrusting you with their health and self-esteem. Therefore, it is essential to set a good example for others. These four core values guide me in my work and client relationships.

  • Empathy

I understand what it’s like to struggle with implementing new and healthy habits into one’s routine. I’ve worked with my weight, an eating disorder, and an injury. I understand there isn’t a “one size fits all” approach. What might work for someone else might not work for you, and that’s okay!

  • Education and expertise

I believe it is necessary as someone who works in the health and fitness industry to constantly be educating themselves and keeping up to date with certifications. Scientists are discovering new information every year, and I am responsible as a fitness professional for giving accurate and safe information to my clients.

  • Determination

I am determined to stick to my health and wellness goals. Even when I am not motivated to do so. I want to set a good example for my clients and loved ones.

  • Integrity

I will never try to sell you on a fantasy. I will never promote “detox teas” or anything promising a “quick fix.” In today’s instant gratification society, it is often hard to accept that reaching your goals takes TIME and hard work. Remember, if it were easy, everyone would be doing it.

Let's take action
Time to change.
